Deshi Chakki Aata Recipes

Aata Halwa (Kada Prasad Style)                               

Ingredients:

    • 1 cup Deshi chakki aata
    • 1 cup ghee or butter
    • 1 cup sugar/jaggery
    • 2 cups water
    • Cardamom powder, dry fruits (optional)

Method:

    1. Heat ghee in a kadai and roast aata on a low flame until dark golden and aromatic (15–20 mins).
    2. In another pan, boil water with sugar/jaggery until dissolved.
    3. Slowly add syrup to the roasted aata, stirring continuously.
    4. Cook until halwa leaves the sides of the pan.
    5. Garnish with nuts and serve warm.

Tip: Always roast on a low flame to avoid burning.
