Ingredients

• 4 bread slices (whole wheat/multigrain preferred)

• ½ cup besan (gram flour)

• ¼ cup finely chopped onion, capsicum, tomato

• 1 green chili, finely chopped

• 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves

• ¼ tsp turmeric powder

• ½ tsp red chili powder

• Salt to taste

• Water (enough to make a medium-thick batter)

• Oil or ghee for shallow frying

Method

Make the Batter

• Mix besan, veggies, spices, and salt.

• Add water gradually, whisk to form a smooth batter.

Dip & Cook

• Heat a pan with oil/ghee.

• Dip bread slice in batter, coat both sides evenly.

• Place on tawa and cook on medium flame until golden and crisp on both sides.

Serve

• Cut into triangles or squares.

• Serve garma-garam with chutney, ketchup, or curd dip.

Optional Twist

• Add grated cheese before flipping for a cheesy version.
